The Ear Institute offers FREE online hearing screenings
The Ear Institute Queenswood in Pretoria recently hosted an Open Day for the public. During a guided tour of the institution it became clear that hearing is a sense to be cared for.
Villieria SAPD, as well as the general public, were invited to do a hearing screening test. This screening test is the first step to determine whether there is a problem with your hearing. It came as a surprised some of the police officers, to find out they might have a hearing problem.
Hearing loss can affect anyone and often progresses so gradually, it can be difficult to notice until you experience symptoms. Hearing loss has far-reaching effects on your health, so getting a hearing test and annual follow-up tests can help you catch it early.
Causes include long-term exposure to noise, the normal ageing process, inherited hearing problems, infections and diseases, reactions to medication, injury and ear wax.
The Ear Institute not only strives to provide the best possible hearing care services, but importantly, to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
The Ear Institute offers FREE daily hearing screenings at their HearKiosk as well as their online HearDigits.
