Meet little Owen.
A 4-year-old who believes he can conquer the world.Owen Botha, like many other children, came in for a hearing screening at the Ear Institute in Polokwane. After failing his OAE screening, the Audiologist suggested that Owen must go for further testing at Head Office in Pretoria, Queenswood.
Owen’s parents Mr & Mrs. Botha did not hesitate. They made the necessary arrangements to meet with the Queenswood Ear Institute team. After the ABR test, done, Owen was diagnosed with a moderate to a severe sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) at 18 months of age.
The Polokwane Ear Institute team fitted Owen with his first pair of hearing aids on the 24th of June, 2016.
Owen’s mother, Mrs. Botha said, “Owen was non-verbal, but since receiving his hearing aids his speech has developed tremendously. He enjoys his speech therapy sessions 3 times a week. The Roger FM system is an amazing help. He is a happy 4-year-old who believes he can conquer the world. He asks to wear his hearing aids.”
